WeIl there were three children in the Iand of Israel Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
They took a littie trip into the Iand of Babylon Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
WelI old Nabucodonosor was the king of Babylon Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
Well they took a Iot of gold and they made him an idol Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.

Well they told everybody when they heard the music of the cornet, oh yeah
and they told everybody when they heard the music of the flute, uh, uh
and they told everybody when they heard the music of the horn, oh, oh, yeah

Great God says you gotta bow down and worship the idol. Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
Well the children of Israel would not bow down Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
You couldn't fool them with a golden idol Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
I said you couldn't fool them with a golden idol Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
So the king put the children in the fiery furnace Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
He heaped on coal and red hot brimstone Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
Made it seven times hotter, hotter than it ought to be Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
It even burned up the soldiers the king had put there Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.

Well Shadrach, then the Lord God sent them an angel
And he gave him a couple of wings, so he would go down into the fiery furnace
and begin to cool the flames, those children they were so happy
They went(aIl) strutting through the fire,
just Iaughing and singing about the power of the Gospel

That old Nabucodonosor said "hey, now"
when he saw the power of the Lord "A happy time in the land of Babylon."
Shadrach, Mishach, Abendigo.
C'erano tre fanciulli nella terra d'Israele: Sadrach, Mesach e Abdenego,
fecero un piccolo viaggio nella terra di Babilonia.
In quel tempo il vecchio re Nabucodonosor prese un mucchio d'oro, ne fece un idolo
e disse a tutti che quando avrebbero sentito gli strumenti suonare
il gran dio voleva che tutti si inginocchiassero ad adorarlo.
I fanciulli d'Israele non si inginocchiarono, non si poteva prenderli in giro con un idolo d'oro.
Così il re fece gettare i fanciulli nella fornace ardente, fece ammucchiare carbone e zolfo rovente
fino a fare diventare la fornace sette volte più calda di quanto avrebbe dovuto essere,
tanto che bruciò perfino i soldati che il re aveva messo di guardia.
Allora il Signore Iddio mandò loro un angelo,
e gli diede una coppia di ali così da scendere nella fornace ardente
e incominciare a raffreddare le fiamme.
Quei fanciulli erano così felici, camminavano tutti trionfanti attraverso le fiamme
ridendo e cantando per la forza della parola di Dio.
Il vecchio Nabucodonosor capì la potenza del Signore
E vi furono giorni felici nella terra di Babilonia.
